Resource exposure in Intel processors with ACTM allows local users with high privileges to escalate privileges through an improperly scoped resource. Intel identifies an ACTM resource exposed to the wrong protection sphere but does not disclose the resource, code locus, or incorrect access-control operation. Exploitation requires high privileges, high complexity, and an additional execution condition; successful attacks cross a security boundary to read and modify protected data without interrupting service.
