CVE-2024-24966

Information disclosure via roleless LDAP authorization

Published Feb 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Incorrect authorization in affected F5OS-A and F5OS-C releases allows remote authenticated users without assigned roles to read system data. F5 has not disclosed a function or request handler; the published mechanism is that the LDAP remote-authentication path authorizes an account with no assigned F5OS role instead of rejecting access. Reachability requires configured LDAP remote authentication and a remotely authenticated roleless account; the reported consequence excludes data modification and service interruption.
