CVE-2024-24919Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via VPN path traversal

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Path traversal in Check Point Security Gateways allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through an exposed VPN endpoint. The /clients/MyCRL handler searches the POST-body path for an allowed substring, so a CSHELL/ segment passes the check while ../ elements escape the intended directory. The gateway must have Remote Access VPN or Mobile Access enabled; unauthenticated exploitation exposes root-readable password hashes, keys, and configuration files.
