Stored XSS via unescaped widget HTML tags
Published Mar 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in PowerPack Addons for Elementor 2.7.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget tags. Multiple widget renderers accept *_html_tag settings without sufficient sanitization and emit them without output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and injected JavaScript runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.
