CVE-2024-24903

Account takeover via exposed password-reset tokens

Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Weak password recovery in Dell Secure Connect Gateway Policy Manager 5.10 through 5.20.00.16 allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts. The password-recovery flow exposes a reset token without authorization and accepts that token to change the target account password; Dell has not disclosed a narrower code locus. Low-privileged access from an adjacent network is required, and successful exploitation grants the compromised account's application privileges.
