Missing authorization in ThemeGrill Masteriyo LMS 1.7.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain WordPress administrator privileges. The update_logged_in_user() REST controller function updates the current user's role without checking the caller's capabilities. No authentication is required, and successful exploitation grants administrative control of the affected WordPress site.
