Incorrect behavior order in the SMI Transfer Monitor in some Intel Processors allows local users with high privileges to escalate privileges. The transition from the executive monitor to STM occurs in the wrong order; Intel has not disclosed the exact sequence error. Exploitation requires local access, existing high privileges, user interaction, and a processor platform that supports STM.
