CVE-2024-24851Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Device crash via FiBurn length overflow

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in P3-550E 1.2.10.9 allows remote attackers to crash the device via an unauthenticated FiBurn packet. The FiBurn handler adds 0x14 to an attacker-controlled payload length, allocates the wrapped size, then passes the original length to strncpy. No authentication or user interaction is required; null-byte padding reaches invalid heap memory and interrupts PLC operation.
