CVE-2024-24818Public exploit

Unauthenticated open redirect via unvalidated recovery URL

Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Open redirect in EspoCRM 8.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect password-reset users via a crafted recovery URL. The passwordChangeRequest endpoint passes its caller-supplied URL to RecoveryService, which embedded it without checking configured site or portal URLs. No account is required, but a victim must complete the reset flow and select the resulting login link, which can lead to credential theft.
