CVE-2024-24817Network attack vector

Private invitee disclosure via missing event authorization

Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Information disclosure in Discourse Calendar before 0.4 allows remote attackers to read private-event invitee lists over the network. The InviteesController index action returns event.invitees after locating an event by post_id without asking the guardian whether the requester can see the event post. Anonymous access is possible unless login_required is enabled; authenticated users outside a private category or message can still obtain invitee identities.
