Stored script execution via unsanitized form content
Published Feb 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in MW WP Form 5.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted form content. The form-content and completion-message rendering paths stored editor-supplied HTML without applying wp_kses_post before output. Editor-level access is required to plant the payload, which runs in the affected site's origin when another user views the modified content.
