Incorrect IP classification in net/netip before 1.21.11 and 1.22.0 through 1.22.3 allows attackers to bypass address checks. The affected Addr.IsPrivate, Addr.IsLoopback, and related predicates classify IPv4-mapped IPv6 inputs without first applying their IPv4 form, causing mapped private, loopback, or multicast addresses to return false. Impact requires a consuming program to rely on these results for a security decision; the package documentation states that IsPrivate does not describe a security property.
