Administrator open redirect via permissive PageFinder resolver
Published Jun 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Open redirect in October CMS 3.2.0 through 3.5.14 allows remote authenticated users to redirect administrators to untrusted sites. The october:// PageFinder schema resolver accepts external links instead of restricting resolved targets to the active host. Exploitation requires administration-panel access and interaction from another authenticated administrator, exposing that user to an attacker-selected site.
