Sensitive data disclosure via unchecked panel requests
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in OceanWP 3.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose system data and API keys. The load_theme_panel_pane AJAX handler returns a requested Theme Panel pane without verifying that the caller has permission to view its contents. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of system or environment details and API keys.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
