Attachment deletion via insufficient capability check
Published Jun 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Awesome Support 6.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete ticket attachments. The wpas_can_delete_attachments() function applies an insufficient capability check and treats subscriber-level accounts as authorized to delete attachments. Subscriber access to the WordPress site is required, and exploitation removes stored ticket attachments without granting broader administrative control.
