Authenticated terms acceptance via missing capability check
Published Jun 17, 2026 · Updated Jun 17, 2026
Missing authorization in Shareaholic 9.7.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to accept the plugin's terms of service. The accept_terms_of_service function changes the stored terms-acceptance state without checking the caller's WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to unauthorized modification of that setting.
