Credential disclosure via unprotected plaintext MongoDB storage
Published Feb 5, 2024 · Updated May 15, 2025
Insufficient credential protection in Allegro AI ClearML version 0 allows local users to read all user emails and passwords from MongoDB. The open-source server's MongoDB instance lacks access control and retains user records and credentials in plaintext instead of protecting the stored passwords. Access to the server or its internal database network is required, and disclosure exposes every stored user's email address and password.
