Stored XSS via trusted HTML sample URLs
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in all versions of Allegro AI ClearML Server allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through Debug Samples. The web server retrieves an attacker-supplied .html sample URL, passes it to Angular's bypassSecurityTrustResourceUrl, and renders it as trusted content. A user with artifact-reporting access must plant the URL, and another user must open the Debug Samples tab, where the payload runs in that viewer's browser context.
