CVE-2024-24551Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via retained PHP upload

Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Arbitrary file upload in Bludit 3.9.0 beta 1 through 3.15.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the Image API. The uploadImage method moves each submitted image into bl-content/tmp before transformImage validates its extension, leaving rejected PHP files accessible from the web. Exploitation requires the API to be enabled, valid API and user tokens, and PHP execution in the temporary directory; success grants server-side command execution.
