Remote code execution via unchecked setSchedWifi input
Published Feb 5, 2024 · Updated May 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC9 V3.0 firmware 15.03.06.42_multi allows remote attackers to execute code or interrupt service. The setSchedWifi function passes a user-supplied parameter to an unspecified function without checking its length, allowing the value to overrun a stack buffer. A crafted network request requires no authentication or user interaction and can interrupt the device's service or execute attacker-controlled code.
