CVE-2024-2449Network attack vector

Administrative actions via insufficient CSRF validation

Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Progress LoadMaster allows attackers to execute administrative actions through the management UI. The API/UI CSRF checks insufficiently validate requests originating from a third-party site, allowing an administrator's browser to submit attacker-chosen HTTP transactions. Exploitation requires knowledge of the appliance address and a logged-in administrator who visits the malicious site; resulting requests carry that administrator's authority.
