Unauthenticated code execution via Save path traversal
Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in Stimulsoft Dashboard.JS before 2024.1.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the Save function. The Save function fails to confine a crafted fileName value to its intended directory, allowing the resulting path to reference files outside that directory. Network access is sufficient, with no authentication or user interaction required, and successful exploitation permits attacker-controlled code execution.
