Staff-session actions via stored script injection
Published Mar 19, 2024 · Updated Sep 29, 2025
Stored XSS in Koha 23.05.05 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to change patron usernames and passwords through a victim's browser. The patron-detail endpoints render attacker-controlled Circulation note and Patron Restriction values without adequate output neutralization. A malicious staff account must store the payload and another staff user must view an affected page, where the script executes with the victim's session authority.
