Unauthenticated command execution via unescaped enable parameter
Published Jan 30, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A3300R 17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via enable. The setParentalRules handler passes enable to Uci_Set_Str, which splices it into a uci command that CsteSystem sends to execv without neutralizing command metacharacters. Network access to the management CGI is sufficient; successful injection executes commands in the firmware service context and permits file creation or other operating-system actions.
