CVE-2024-24122Public exploit

Code execution via project archive path traversal

Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024

Path traversal in Wondershare EdrawProj 3.2.2 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted project archive. Its project-file importer treats an .adpx file as ZIP data and extracts attacker-controlled filenames without confining output to the temporary directory. A victim must open the file on Windows; the archive can place a program in the Startup folder, which runs after the next system restart.
