Stored script execution via unsanitized usernames
Published Feb 1, 2024 · Updated Jun 12, 2025
Stored XSS in aitangbao springboot-manager 1.6 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser via /sys/user. The /sys/user PUT endpoint stores script markup in the username field, and the User Management view later renders that value without neutralization. An authenticated account can plant the payload, but a victim must open User Management; the script runs in the victim's origin and can access page data or actions available to that session.
