CVE-2024-24051

Physical motion manipulation via unchecked G-code coordinates

Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Improper G-code validation in Monoprice Select Mini V2 37.115.32 allows attackers to drive movable parts beyond maximum coordinates. The firmware accepts out-of-range destination coordinates from a .gcode print file and directs the printer's axes toward those positions without enforcing the device's motion limits. Exploitation requires a user to print the crafted file locally; the documented consequence is unauthorized physical movement rather than data exposure or service interruption.
