Published Apr 24, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024
Stored XSS in Utopique Better Comments before 1.5.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through comment-policy settings. The plugin stores the Comment policy setting without sanitizing or escaping it, then renders the value on WordPress post pages. Administrator-level access is required, and a visitor must open an affected post for the injected script to run in that visitor's browser.
