Code execution via unsanitized localized HTML
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in GoAnother Another Redis Desktop Manager 1.6.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a tampered locale string. Setting.vue renders the font_faq localization string with Vue's v-html directive, allowing injected HTML event handlers to invoke Node.js child-process APIs. Exploitation requires a user to run a modified application build and hover over the Font Family help icon; commands run with the desktop user's privileges.
