Unauthenticated TMM crash via classification stack overflow

A stack-based buffer overflow in F5 BIG-IP PEM allows remote attackers to crash TMM through crafted UDP traffic without authentication. The classification engine processes request data with an affected signature file and overruns a stack buffer; F5 has not disclosed the request format. Exposure requires a PEM classification profile on a UDP virtual server and a signature released from September 8, 2022 through February 16, 2023; the consequence is a traffic-processing service interruption.
