Code execution via HTTP GET stack overflow
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in HTTP GET handling in Silicon Labs Gecko OS all versions allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code. The request handler copies user-supplied GET data into a stack-based buffer without first validating its length. No authentication is required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary code in the device context.
