Stack-based buffer overflow in Sony XAV-AX5500 firmware 1.13 allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code through CarPlay. The CarPlay protocol implementation accepts a user-controlled TLV length and copies the associated data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating that length. A physical CarPlay connection is required; no authentication or user interaction is needed, and successful exploitation runs code in the device context.
