Denial of service via Media service error handling
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Denial of service in all Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX firmware versions allows network-adjacent attackers to interrupt service via TCP port 42000. The default Media service improperly handles error conditions in requests received on that port; no lower-level fault has been published. No authentication or user interaction is required from an adjacent network, and successful exploitation interrupts device availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
