Database query manipulation via unsanitized city parameter
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester CRUD without Page Reload 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through the city field. The add_user.php endpoint places the submitted city value into a MySQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, so crafted input changes the executed query. An authenticated account able to submit the Add User form can read or modify data available to the application's database account; broader host compromise is not established.
