CVE-2024-23921

Root command execution via unsanitized wlanapp system call

Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 1, 2025

Command injection in ChargePoint Home Flex all versions allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code as root through wlanapp. The wlanapp module passes a user-supplied string to a system call without adequate validation, allowing the string to alter the executed command. Exploitation requires adjacent network access but no authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation grants root-level control of the charger.
