Improper condition checking in Intel Xeon processors using SGX allows local users with existing privileges to escalate privileges. The flaw resides in certain processor memory-controller configurations, but Intel has not disclosed which conditions are checked incorrectly or how attacker-controlled state reaches them. Exploitation requires an affected CPU configuration and Intel SGX in use; success crosses a privilege boundary and can compromise data and interrupt the system.
