CVE-2024-23908

Local privilege escalation via inherited permissions

Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024

Privilege escalation in Intel Flexlm License Daemons for FPGA software before 11.19.5.0 allows local users to gain elevated privileges. The affected daemons inherit insecure permissions, but Intel has not identified the filesystem object, inheritance path, or privileged operation exposed. A low-privileged authenticated account, local access, high-complexity conditions, and active user interaction are required; successful exploitation compromises local confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
