Privilege escalation in Nessus and Nessus Agent plugin feeds before 202403142053 allows local users to gain elevated execution on scan targets. The impacted plugin trusts and invokes a binary placed at an undisclosed filesystem location instead of establishing that the file is trusted. Exploitation requires permission to write at that location and a scan that invokes the plugin; successful abuse executes the planted binary with the plugin's elevated privileges.
