CVE-2024-23899Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via args4j at-syntax expansion

Published Jan 24, 2024 · Updated Jun 4, 2025

Arbitrary file read in Jenkins Git server Plugin 99.va_0826a_b_cdfa_d and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read controller files via SSH. AbstractGitCommand constructs an args4j parser with default properties, causing an argument beginning with @ to be replaced by contents from the named controller-side file. Overall/Read permission and SSH access are required, and the disclosed output is limited to the first two text lines in the controller process encoding.
