Session cookie theft via unencoded costcenterid parameter
Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal session cookies through a crafted URL. The costcentermodify.php endpoint does not sufficiently encode the user-controlled costcenterid parameter before placing it in generated page content. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the URL, and the reported consequence is theft of that user's session cookie credentials.
