Session cookie theft via unencoded state identifier
Published Jan 26, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025
Reflected XSS in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal authenticated users' session cookie credentials. The statecreate.php endpoint processes attacker-controlled stateid input without sufficient output encoding, allowing injected script markup to run in the browser. An authenticated user must follow the crafted URL; the injected script executes in that user's session context and exposes cookie credentials.
