Session cookie theft via unencoded tax parameters
Published Jan 25, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025
Reflected XSS in Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal an authenticated user's session cookie. The taxcodemodify.php endpoint returns multiple user-controlled parameters without sufficient output encoding when processing a crafted URL. The attack succeeds only when an authenticated user opens that URL, causing attacker-supplied script to execute in the user's browser context.
