Admin-page hang via unrestricted logo dimensions
Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Resource-consumption denial of service in mailcow: dockerized 2023-12b and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang the admin page. The logo customization handler passes uploaded images to Imagick without first limiting file size or pixel dimensions, so a pixel-flood image exhausts processing resources. Administrative access and a successful logo upload are required; the resulting hang affects the admin interface while mail services continue operating.
