CVE-2024-23815Network attack vector

Database disclosure via unauthenticated event-port requests

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025

Missing authentication in all versions of Siemens Desigo CC allows remote attackers to read server database data through event-port client requests. The server's event-port handler accepts specific requests from a modified Installed Client without authenticating them, permitting arbitrary SQL queries against the server database. Exposure requires Installed Client support and access to TCP port 4998; a highly protected-zone deployment additionally requires client access and a hardening bypass.
