Application crash via null pointer dereference
Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Null pointer dereference in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 2201 and before 2302.0007 allows attackers to crash the application. The SPP file parser dereferences a null pointer while reading a specially crafted SPP file. Exploitation requires a local user to open an attacker-supplied file and causes only a service interrupt through an application crash.
