Application crash via null pointer dereference
Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Null pointer dereference in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 and V2302 before V2302.0007 allows attackers to cause a crash. The SPP parser dereferences a null pointer while processing a specially crafted SPP file, terminating the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file; the reported consequence is a service-interrupting crash with no confidentiality or integrity impact.
