Code execution via WRL parser stack overflow
Published Feb 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Stack overflow in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 before V2201.0012 and V2302 before V2302.0006 allows attackers to execute code. The WRL parser overflows a stack-based buffer while processing a specially crafted file instead of enforcing memory bounds. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file and can crash the application or run code with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
