Code execution via crafted WRL heap overflow

Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 and V2302 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted WRL file. The WRL parser writes beyond a heap allocation when it processes malicious file data, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-supplied file; successful corruption runs code in the current process, while failure can crash the application.
