CVE-2024-23791Network attack vector

Article-data disclosure via indexing debug logs

Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025

Sensitive-data exposure in the OTRS Log Backend allows remote authenticated users to read article data through server logs. During Elasticsearch index builds, debug output writes sensitive article content to log files when indexing errors occur. Access requires high privileges, and the exposure is limited to confidentiality; OTRS has not published the exact function or article fields written.
