Local code execution via enabled RunAsNode fuse
Published Mar 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Code injection in ClickUp Desktop App before 3.3.77 allows local users to execute code through its Electron runtime on macOS and Windows. The packaged Electron binary leaves the RunAsNode fuse enabled, so ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE makes it process supplied JavaScript as Node.js. Exploitation requires a malicious application already running on the endpoint and exposes sensitive data accessible to non-privileged processes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
